Religious Persecution

Crusader Sword and Shield Most of the religious persecution done in the name of the Lord Most High,
was never authorized by God but was initiated by men who were telling a lie.

They usually start by killing one person and then one more and then many others.
They have no mercy and they torture and kill men, women, sons, and daughters.

These human atrocities are an abomination in the eyes of God and of His Son,
and each evil deed is recorded in God's book and will be judged by the Holy One.

"Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the LORD, Ruler of Heaven and Earth.
Do not deceive yourself. You are not the chosen instrument of God's Holy Wrath.

Jesus on the Cross Remember that Jesus was also the victim of the religious zealots of His day.
They had Jesus crucified and they were pleased they could do it in a legal way.

While He lived Jesus said, "Love your enemies and pray for those mistreat you."
As He died Jesus said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do."

God is all powerful and He can do anything to anyone at anytime He chooses.
Therefore be patient and let God punish or execute whomever He wishes.

If you decide to murder someone and justify it by saying you are doing God's Will,
then one day you may open your eyes and discover God has cast you into Hell.

Reference Scripture Verses

Deuteronomy 32:35 - "It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them."

Romans 12:17-19 - Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath,

Romans 12:19 - for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the LORD.

Hebrews 10:30-31 - For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge his people." It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Proverbs 20:22 - Do not say, "I'll pay you back for this wrong!" Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you.

Matthew 5:44-48 - But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Luke 6:27–28 - "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."

Proverbs 25:11-12 - If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

Luke 23:33-34 - When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals -- one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

2 Peter 2:4-10 - For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) -- if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment. This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority.

Matthew 13:41-42 - The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Revelation 20:14-15 - The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
