A Meeting with the President

Introduction

Leader What would you say to the President if you had the opportunity?

What if it wasn't the President but the King or the Prime Minister?

Regardless of the person's title, if you knew the person had the authority and the power to easily change things in your favor, what would you ask for?

And if the person agreed to listen to you for free for as long as you desired, how much time would you invest telling the person what you really needed to make you happy?

Would you be willing to invest one minute, or five minutes, or 20 minutes, or an hour?

Unfortunately, most of us will never have the opportunity to speak to the President, or to the King, or to the Prime Minister.

But there is some good news. Each one of us can speak to someone who has authority over the President, and the King, and the Prime Minister.

We can speak to Almighty God at any time and we can pray for as long as we desire. And God will not tell us to hurry up because He has something more important to do with His time. God will listen to us pour out our hearts to Him for as long as we need to.

Prayer can change things for the better. It may not be immediately, or before the end of the day, or this month, but prayer can significantly improve our lives.

The problem is that most people give up too quickly because they want instant answers to their prayers.

But there are some people who are more patient and they are willing to allow God to answer their prayers in the way He knows best and at the time He knows best. And these people are continuously astonished at the wonderful things that God does for them and they never forget to thank Him for His blessings.

What type of person are you? Do you pray every day? How much time do you invest in your prayers? Do you give God instructions or do you pray for His will to be done in your life?

If you desire for your life to gradually and consistently change for the better, then perhaps it might be wise to spend a little more time in prayer each day and to always end your prayers with "not my will but Your will be done."

Respectfully,
Grandpappy.
