Introduction

In November of 2023 I was looking at folding knives on Amazon and I saw one that I decided to purchase. The rest of this article will describe that knife in detail.

Discussion

Nedfoss Survival Kniife The knife is called the Nedfoss Survival knife and it has a 4-inch blade and it weighs 8.25 ounces (233 grams).

Two of these knives are shown in the picture on the right.

On December 1, 2023 this knife can be purchased for $35.99 on Amazon at the following link:
NedFoss Pocket Knife for Men, 4 inch D2 Steel Folding Knife with Clip, G10 Handle, Safety Liner Lock, Sharp Pocket Knives, Survival Knife for Hiking Camping Gifts for Men

I do not receive a fee or a commission of any kind if you click on the above link, or if you buy the knife from Amazon. The above link is provided solely for your convenience.

The knife can easily be opened with one hand. In the picture of two knives on the right, the knife on the left shows a lever on the top right of the handle. If you pull down on that lever with your index finger then the blade of the knife quickly and smoothly rotates on ball bearings into the open position as shown in the knife on the right in the picture. The lever swings around with the blade and it becomes a safety guard that prevents your fingers from accidentally sliding off the handle onto the sharp blade.

The blade locks into the full open position automatically. To fold the blade back into the knife you press an interliner lock on the inside of the handle and this releases the blade so that you can fold the blade back into the handle.

The blade is extremely sharp. The blade has a modified "spear type point" which I personally like.

The knife also has a black lanyard cord attached to the bottom of the handle. I didn't need the lanyard cord so I removed it from my knife after taking a picture of the knife.

The knife comes with a black nylon belt sheath.

If you do not wish to carry the knife in its belt sheath then the knife also has a pocket clip on its handle so that you can attach the knife to the inside of your pocket where it will be easy to find and you can access it instantly.

Conclusion

Anyone who been camping or hunting or boating has probably experienced a situation where you have used both hands to get something in the exact shape and position that you need and you can hold it in position with one hand. But you now only have one hand to get your knife. If you have a fixed blade knife in a belt sheath then you can easily remove it and use it to finish the job you started. But if you have a folding knife in your pocket then that knife should be a knife that can be easily opened with one hand.

If you carry a folding knife in your pocket for emergency self-defense, then that knife should be very sharp and you should be able to open it quickly and smoothly with one hand.

If you already have one or more knives that you are happy with then please do not spend your money on this knife. But if you are in the market for a high-quality folding knife then I suggest that you consider the Nedfoss survival knife. Amazon has a lot of different Nedfoss knives for sale but I prefer the knife discussed in this article.

Respectfully,
Grandpappy.
