Book Description on Amazon.com

This book contains information about religion, Christianity, and some other closely related topics, and how they are practiced now in the twenty-first century. Life is a lot different now when compared to the decades of the 1950s and 1960s.

When I was young the public school system was receptive to Christian concepts and prayer was allowed in public schools and prayer was even encouraged. In many schools the principal would say a prayer over the intercom at the beginning of each school day. Many students attended school all year without missing a single day. Schools were never closed due to some type of illness infecting a huge number of the students at the same time.

The curriculum taught in our public school system was challenging and it was designed to educate the children and it was not designed so that the least intelligent student in the entire school could pass with a good grade.

Most young people had respect for older people, teachers, bus drivers, police officers, preachers, and their parents.

Profanity was not allowed on the radio, or on television, or in the movies. The Ten Commandments were sacred and people did not publicly criticize any of the Ten Commandments.

People could get on an airplane without being searched and airplanes reached their destinations without incident.

People were not openly criticized for being a Christian. In order to get elected most politicians said they were Christians even if they did not actively practice the Christian faith.

Now we live in the twenty-first century. People who remember the 1950s and 1960s have a much clearer understanding of what the United States of America has become since the 1950s. Many people believe that we have made significant progress by casting off our outdated Christian beliefs.

However, a few people believe that our nation is on the verge of the wrath of Almighty God because of what we have become.

Hopefully the chapters in this book will provide you with enough information so you can personally decide if you wish to believe that the USA is better off now as a nation without God than we were in the 1950s and 1960s when most people had a different perspective on religion and on Christianity.
